I’ve been working in digital design since the early 2000’s, beginning my career in illustration and interactive media before transitioning into user experience and product design.

Early on, I worked on video game illustration projects with companies including Activision, Looking Glass Studios, and Nintendo, followed by Flash animation and educational content design during the early growth of online learning platforms.

As the web evolved, I moved into digital product and web design, working as a webmaster in downtown Boston before gradually specializing in usability and interaction design, which today is more broadly recognized as UX and product design.

Over the years, my work has focused on simplifying complex systems and workflows across healthcare, life sciences, insurance, finance, and enterprise platforms.

My background in illustration and commercial art continues to influence how I approach design today. I believe strong UX is not only about functionality, but also clarity, composition, hierarchy, and creating experiences that feel intuitive and approachable for real people.

Outside of product design, I’ve recently returned to my creative roots through illustration and painting, reconnecting with the visual storytelling and craft that first drew me into digital work decades ago.

  • Beyond my work in user experience, I express creativity through drawing and painting. I am a lifelong martial arts practitioner with over 22 years of experience in Praying Mantis Kung Fu, along with training in judo, jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai. During the pandemic, I shifted my focus to bodybuilding to further develop strength and resilience. My background also includes competing in roller derby with Mass Maelstrom, earning a kettlebell coaching certification and working as a group fitness coach, and completing multiple endurance events, including two Spartan Races and a Tough Mudder.

    Contract position

    • As Design Lead for Online Servicing, developed brand-agnostic customer experiences tailored for leading national insurance providers, including GEICO and Progressive.

    • Leveraged user surveys, Google Analytics, and A/B testing in customer acquisition and retention strategies, gaining valuable insights that informed our final goals.

    • Achieved significant success in transitioning renters to homeowners, retaining 7,560 customers and generating $4.3 million in premiums through strategic UX interventions.

    • 360K calls are not going to cancel; and instead, they are re-quoting for better offers.

    • Since the release, 6% of our customers have been retained, equaling 1.6M in premium.
